What are dermal fillers?

Offering long-lasting, yet non-permanent results, dermal fillers are broken down by the body over a period of time, with both the fillers and their effects gradually fading away.

What brand of products do you use ?

We use only the highest quality FDA approved dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, Redensity, that are derived from the hyaluronic acid (HA), found naturally in our skin.

The Dermal Filler products that we use are amongst the most scientifically documented in the world, with comprehensive research studies that support their safety and efficacy. Dermal fillers provide support to sagging aged skin and naturally replace lost volume restoring a youthful freshness.

Effects are achieved instantly. Once completed the Dermal Filler may last for between 6-18 months depending on the product used and the area injected.

How is the treatment carried out?

As every client’s skin and required goals are unique, a detailed consultation with a Nurse is essential prior to undergoing any advanced non-surgical treatment. During the consultation your Aesthetic Nurse will discuss any problem areas, desired improvements, options available (including no treatment at all) and expected outcomes. Should Dermal Fillers be agreed upon as the most suitable treatment, the skin will be thoroughly cleansed and the treatment area will be anaesthetised using either an appropriate topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) or a dental nerve block to ensure discomfort is completely minimal? Once the treatment area is anaesthetised, the Filler will be injected under the surface of the skin using an ultra-fine needle, before being gently massaged. The treatment itself usually takes around 30 to 40 minutes, with an additional 30 minutes allowed prior to treatment for the anaesthetic to take effect.

Is there any downtime..and are there any side effects?

Immediately after undergoing a Dermal Filler procedure, the treatment area may be slightly red and/or slightly swollen, however normal activities may be resumed immediately; indeed it is possible to have this treatment in a lunch break and return straight back to work.

Side effects are rare and are mostly injection related rather than due to the product. Side effects can include possible localized bruising, swelling, redness, itching, pain and discoloration at the injection site. Such complications generally disappear within a few days. Thorough cleansing of the skin prior to treatment and careful placement of each of the injections helps us to ensure these risks are as minimal as possible.

How much does it cost?

As a guide treatments start from £310.00 depending on your individual requirements which will be discussed during your free consultation.
